Weather forecast: Monsoon precipitation period to commence on July 3 throughout Pakistan

Since Thursday, the entrance of monsoon winds has produced a significant drop in temperature, therefore Lahore has welcomed relief from westerly winds.

According to the Meteorological Department, this marks the official start of the country’s monsoon season. It is predicted that precipitation will start on July 3.

Chief meteorologist Shahid Abbas underlined that the monsoon rains will not only alleviate the intense heat but also lower the average temperature in the area.

The country is currently experiencing a mix of sunny and cloudy daytime weather, and this pattern is expected to persist in the coming days.

Lahore’s weather
There has been a noticeable decrease in heat intensity in Lahore as a result of the westerly winds. The city’s weather has begun to shift, with decreasing temperatures.

Rain is possible as the monsoon weather pattern takes hold, according to the Met Department.

The problem with Lahore’s electricity supply persists despite the drop in temperature. Load shedding is still present in a number of locations along the Main Canal Road, including Mustafaabad, Dharampura, Nai Abadi, and Amir Town.

The city’s power outages caused by a damaged transformer yesterday night added to the displeasure of the residents.

The Met office predicts moderate to heavy rain mixed with partly cloudy skies for Karachi, a port city, on Friday. The air is 74% humid, so sea breezes should return this evening, according to the meteorological service.
