Talk only to people who have “real power”: Imran Khan

The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan said on Friday that he would only talk to people who have “real power.”

He said, “I have been kept in a death cell,” and he added that he hasn’t asked for any help or facilities in jail. “I cannot tweet from jail; I instruct my lawyers to tweet on my behalf.”
Khan criticised the government in a press conference after the hearing of the £190 million scam case in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. He said, “The Hamoodur Rahman Commission was established for two purposes: to prevent the repetition of past mistakes and to identify those responsible.” The committee held General Yahya Khan responsible for putting his own power first. The same mistakes are being made today, which is causing the economy to collapse.

Khan talked about what his government had done well, saying, “NAB collected Rs450 billion during our three and a half years in power.” It was thought that an extra Rs1,100 billion would be collected, but because of changes to NAB rules, only Rs300,000 and then Rs1.5 million were received. The country has lost Rs 1,100 billion because of these changes, which it can’t afford.

Khan called the PTI’s social media workers heroes and asked the FIA to say sorry for making up a fake cypher case against him. “Political vendetta is ongoing in the country,” he told us. “I will only answer the FIA when my lawyers are here.” All of this is being planned by Mohsin Naqvi.

When asked about the Supreme Court’s advice to talk to political groups, Khan said, “Even when Musharraf was in power, I didn’t talk to Shaukat Aziz. I talked to those in charge.”
Imran said that they talked with other political groups because that’s what the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) at the time, Umar Ata Bandial, suggested. “The law said that elections should have happened within 90 days, but Justice Bandial gave in to pressure from the opposition,” he said.

When asked about what he said before about Nawaz Sharif talking about Sheikh Mujib and the Hamoodur Rahman Commission, Khan said, “At that time, I had not read the Hamoodur Rahman Commission report.” “I have now.”
