For the first time in the history of cricket! South Africa Advances to the World Cup Finals

Defeating Afghanistan by nine wickets, South Africa qualified for their maiden Twenty20 World Cup final. A commanding display saw Afghanistan knocked out for just 56 runs in 11.5 overs. Key bowlers Marco Jansen and Tabraiz Shamsi each claimed three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje added two wickets apiece to increase the pressure.

When it came their turn to bat, South Africa made 60-1 in 8.5 overs, a fast return on their investment. Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram, with scores of 29 not out and 23 not out, respectively, guaranteed victory even if Quinton de Kock was lost early.

With this win, depending on how the second semifinal match turns out, South Africa will play either England or India in the final. For South African cricket, this is a momentous occasion as they go on to their maiden T20 World Cup final and try to win the coveted trophy.
