Early- to mid-career professionals from eligible countries who show leadership promise can get a prestigious, world-class, high-quality education through the Ireland Fellows Programme. This helps build their skills.It gives some students the chance to go to a higher education school (HEI) in Ireland for a year and get their master’s degree for free.

These foreign fellowships will help people who are disabled, from a minority group, or from a disadvantaged background. People who are women or don’t know what their gender identity is can apply to be Ireland fellows.

The award pays for the course fees, flights, housing, and daily living costs. Each year, master’s programmes that meet the requirements start in Ireland in August or September. The length of the plan varies from 10 to 16 months.

The goal of the Ireland Fellows Programme 2025–26 is to develop leaders and build good ties around the world. The Ireland Fellows Programme – Africa wants to build good ties with Ireland, educate and train future leaders and help African countries reach their SDG goals. Through the skills they learn, the programme hopes to help graduates build up their home countries’ abilities so that they can become the next generation of stars in their fields when they return home. Also, it is hoped that they will help build long-lasting, good personal and professional relationships with Ireland, which will encourage connections between institutions.
