Jahangir Tareen’s Sugar Mills Received the Highest Export Quota from the Punjab Government

The sugar mills operated by Jahangir Khan Tareen have been awarded the greatest export quota by the Punjab government. A sizeable 10,783 tons have been allotted to his JDW Sugar Mills-I and JDW Sugar Mills-II out of the province’s 96,000-ton overall sugar export pot.

Tareen’s highly efficient mills benefit from the fact that the quota allocation is based on the volume of sugar production rather than sucrose recovery rates.

The Punjab government made this decision in order to guarantee that the 41 sugar mills in the province receive an equitable share of the export quotas. It strives for equity by accounting for variations in sucrose concentration between regions.

Tareen’s mills were awarded the highest share since they have continuously demonstrated greater production capacities and efficiency. The allocation procedure is set up to incentivize efficiency and production, which motivates all mills to enhance their operations.

The Punjab government’s calculated action emphasizes the value of assisting high-performing businesses while simultaneously attempting to uphold equity within the industry.
