The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday acknowledged the unconditional apologies submitted by Senator Faisal Vawad and MNA Mustafa Kamal.
The court also rescinded the notice of contempt of court against them.
During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa inquired of Faisal Vawda whether he had offered an apology. “Indeed, I have expressed my apology,” responded Vawda.
Farogh Naseem, the legal representative for Mustafa Kamal, argued that his client had requested an apology without any conditions. “He has now conveyed his remorse during the press conference,” he continued.
Judge Qazi Faez Isa stated that an apology without any conditions had been given and as a result, the matters would not be pursued further.
